The runes spell out "Ulfheonar". It is a symbol of the Norse Warriors; the Berserkers or Bear Shirts mentioned in the sagas. Ulfheonar are sometimes described as Odin's special warriors, with the pelt from a wolf and a spear as distinguishing features.
